I am a coach, consultant, energy enthusiast and accountability partner. I am passionate about the idea of you – who you are, and who you have the potential to become. How do I know this? Well, because I’ve been in your shoes.
Here’s my story of commitment. In 2019, I gave myself 3 different dates to leave my corporate job:
May 31 (That date came and went. I wasn’t ready.)
July 15 (That came and went. I was terrified.)
And finally the end of August.
One Thursday night, I sat (more like resolutely plopped down) onto the couch next to my husband and I said “On Monday, I’m giving my notice.”
I was expecting a parade. Bigger, in fact. I wanted balloons and streamers and fireworks! At the very least, I was hoping for a little encouragement.
Instead, I was met with, “Yes I know. We’ve talked about this. Just do it. You’ve been planning it, you have a vision, you want to do it, we have the money. You either do it now or stop talking about it and move onto something else because I’m done hearing about it.”
Well. That was that. Talk about raining on someone’s parade!
The next day, I did a few things for my then-side hustle before getting back into the corporate world. All of a sudden, I heard a voice in my head saying, “Do it now, it’s time, let’s go,” and at that moment, I knew I had to tell my director I was leaving. There was no point agonizing over it one second longer. Why make my life miserable for a weekend longer if I knew I was ready to do it? And do it NOW!?
Let me tell you: my summer of 2019 was miserable because I was in indecision. I had the vision, yet I lacked the action. Then, once I decided and made the commitment to go for it, everything opened up!
I have never felt so alive and excited and free! All of the superlatives, in fact.
And I know, 110%, that you can have that feeling of power, enlightenment, and awakening, too! You weren’t put in this life to have miserable summers, weekends that are full of the Sunday Scaries feeling, and a lackluster feeling of “Is this all there is?” You were meant to do something BIG.
